The Skavengevians (a.k.a Skavs) have existed for millennia without access to energy capture technology, living in dark, resource-deprived environments. The cognitive programming behind this system had two objectives: maximizing survival chances and increasing wealth through the accumulation of energy assets. This combination made the ZZ extremely hostile.
